Investing In Our Young People

Campaign Team23 Aug 20261 min read
Giving Young Nigerians the Opportunity to Build, Innovate, Work and Lead Nigeria's young people are not merely the leaders of tomorrow; they are a vital part of the Nigeria we must build today. Our young people need an environment where ideas can become businesses, skills can become careers, and creativity can become economic opportunity. This means expanding access to quality education, vocational and digital skills, affordable financing, mentorship, technology and opportunities to participate meaningfully in the economy. Government should create an environment where young entrepreneurs can start and grow businesses without being overwhelmed by unnecessary barriers. Young professionals should have opportunities to gain experience, while innovators should have access to the infrastructure and support needed to turn their ideas into solutions. But opportunity must go beyond employment. Young Nigerians should also be encouraged to participate in public life, community development and governance. When young people are given the tools and opportunity to build, innovate, work and lead, they do not simply improve their own lives—they help create jobs, strengthen communities and drive national development. Nigeria's youth are not a burden to be managed. They are a resource to be empowered.
