Governance & Public Service
Obi contested the 2003 Anambra governorship election under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). After a period of litigation, the courts declared him the winner and he was inaugurated as Governor on 17 March 2006. His first term included an impeachment in November 2006 and reinstatement by the courts in February 2007. He was re-elected in 2010 and completed his second term on 17 March 2014.
